The model range of Russian bioacoustic equipment Universal-Acoustic was expanded by a new unit – AERO-M. The new birdscaring device is designed to be installed on top of the aerodrome vehicle. The presentation of the new unit was held at Domodedovo International Airport with support of its administration.
The presentation was organized and held by the specialists from the Two Wings Company (AOG). The event included a review of bioacoustic birdscaring devices and tendencies of its development, a demonstration of a working unit of Universal-Acoustic AERO-M, a meeting of ornithological flight safety provision specialists of civil aviation, a visit to Domodedovo aerodrome with presentation of the birdscaring means applied there, a trip to the Vorobjy Birds Park.
In accordance with the program of the event the specialists discussed issues of ornithological flights safety provision:
- application of bioacoustic scaring means, birds of prey and birds shooting and at the aerodrome;
- perspectives of establishment of a National Birdstrike Committee;
- organization of a Sectoral Conference for the ornithological flight safety provision specialists;
- registration and analysis of birdstrikes data at the airport;
- a revision of normative regulatory documents for the ornithological flight safety provision sector.
The event was attended by representatives from Domodedovo Airport (Moscow), Pulkovo Airport (Saint-Petersburg), Rostov-on-Don Airport, Manas Airport (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan), Minsk Airport (Belarus), Ostafyevo Airport (Moscow Area) with participation of Aeroflot Airlines and Aeroproject Federal State Institute of Civil Aviation.
