At present, Russian air transport has seen an increase in the number of recorded birdstrikes with aircrafts, due, inter alia, to the beginning of the reception of voluntary reports of such cases in 2015.

Cases of strikes with aircrafts belonging to foreign airlines in the airspace of the Russian Federation are also not recorded in the centrilalized data base.
